New TeamSpeak 3 Updates

Today TeamSpeak Systems released another updates for TeamSpeak 3. The client should auto-update itself if you have already a newer version (beta8 for example) and for the server update its as always higly recommended to install it as soon as possible. The changelog and the downloads are further below.

Important for server admins which use TSViewer.com

Since server beta15 there are new anti flood settings. The TSViewer needs to send for example 7 commands (number of commands varies) to your server to get the needed informations. TSViewer.com queries could get blocked.

Solution
Place the TSViewer.com server IP 85.25.120.233 into the query_ip_whitelist.txt file inside of your server directory. Restart the whole TeamSpeak 3 server instance afterwards or wait 5 minutes if you have a beta16 server or higher (since beta16 the server gets IP´s from this file every 5 minutes). If you dont have access to this kind of settings contact your TeamSpeak 3 hosting company to do that for you.

Linux server users take note

The server now must be started with LD_LIBRARY_PATH set to make sure the necessary libraries are found. TeamSpeak Systems have provided now two scripts that do this. Use them to start the server:

ts3server_minimal_runscript.sh - Behaves exactly like running ./ts3server_linux_{x86, amd64} did in previous releases

ts3server_startscript.sh - This is a startscript that starts the server in the background, you can pass the parameters "start", "stop", "restart" and "status" to it. Note that since the server is started in the background you need to view the log files if any problems occure (since there is no output in your shell). Also if you have special command line parameters you wish to pass the server on startup, you need to edit the ts3server_startscript.sh the first not commented line COMMANDLINE_PARAMETERS="" is where you should edit
